Man Suffers Rare Penis Fracture During Intimacy

A man in Indonesia reportedly suffered a painful penis fracture after attempting a risky sex position, dubbed the ‘reverse cowgirl.’

The 37-year-old arrived at hospital with a severely swollen and bruised member, which doctors likened to an aubergine.

He was having sex in the precarious position, known for its high risk of injury, when he heard a loud popping sound.

Medical professionals at the General Hospital of West Nusa Tenggara Province disclosed that the patient’s penis had taken on an “eggplant deformity,” characterized by swelling and discoloration.

The patient underwent emergency surgery to repair the damage, which involved making an incision to “deglove” the penis and reveal the extent of the fracture.

Surgeons cleaned the site, repaired the ruptured tubes, and stitched up the urethra.

After the operation, the man was fitted with a catheter and sent home five days later.

It was said that follow-up appointments confirmed that his penis had healed, and he was able to achieve an erection and pass urine normally.

Urologists warned that penis fractures can occur during masturbation or even accidental trauma, such as turning over in bed at an awkward angle.

They revealed that surgery provides the fastest recovery, and that men in their 40s are most likely to experience this injury.

With only 16 documented cases worldwide annually since 1925, penis fractures are considered a rare urological emergency.

Doctors advised that penis fractures are easily recognizable, characterized by a cracking sound, sudden swelling and bruising, severe pain, difficulty passing urine, and bleeding.
