Mother, Her 2 Sons Remanded For Theft In Osun | Daily Report Nigeria

  • A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state has sentenced a mother, alongside her two sons for theft.

  • The trio were accused of theft, tuning to the sum of N4.5 million.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the accused, Ayanda Olubunmi, 45, and her sons Joshua Iyanda, 24, and Prosper Iyanda, 21 were said to have stolen cocoa beans worth millions of naira.

They were said to have stolen the goods from one Akeem Obidiran in Temidire Village, Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State.

They were arrested while attempting to transport the goods by men of the Osun state Amotekun corps, following a complaint lodged by Obidiran.

Delivering justice, the presiding judge, Magistrate A.O. Odeleye emphasized the magnitude of the crime on the livelihood of the victim, a d subsequently remanded them ok Wednesday, December 18.

The trio was remanded in custody until the next hearing, scheduled for January 29, 2025, to allow the prosecution time to prepare its case.
