The National Association of Ogulagha Clan Students (NAOCS) has intensified the calls for students to pursue academic academic excellence beyond oil.
At its biennial mega convention on Saturday, December 21, 2024, the students’ bodies called on students to seek education with innovation and latest academic trends.
NAOCS President, Comrade Enoch Inaibo encouraged students to embrace their academics with a sense of purpose and intents to contribute meaningfully towards society.
Comrade Inaibo urged students to churn engaging in social vices like cultism and intake of illicit hard drugs in the guise of false awareness.

Inaibo’s position was amplified by keynote speakers at the event.

The first speaker, Godspower Potoki, an alumni of NAOCS, spoke about thinking beyond oil for education is not a scam but a bedrock to a better society, advising students to combine learning with acquiring a skill.
On her part, Ambassador Nwanchukwu Bekenawei Endurance on the need for students to get quality education and results, which they can defend.
Mrs Nwachukwu stated stressed that “education is not just about school but knowledge about other things like handwork, technology, culture, etc, stating education was a foundation for a sustainable society.
“A society that values education is one that secures its future beyond the future resources of today,” Nwachukwu added.
Aside from the symposium, the 2024 NAOCS Mega Convention also witnessed a medical outreach, a drug abuse awareness rally, soccer game, and the Miss NAOCS beauty pageant.
