Newborn Baby Abandoned by Riverside in Kogi [VIDEO]

A baby has been found after being abandoned in Kogi state.

According to a video making rounds online, the baby was found after passerby heard the cry of a child.

The baby was found near Niger Bridge in the Ajaokuta area of Kogi State on Thursday by a leader in the community.

Other items recovered from the scene include some baby clothes, a wrapper and other things.

A resident of the area, Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, who posted the video online noted that the community would notify the local government authorities and take care of the baby until they can identify the mother.
