The All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly rejected claims from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the current administration’s policies are detrimental to the Nigerian populace.
In a statement issued by the APC Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, the party asserted that the Tinubu-led government is dedicated to enhancing the socio-economic conditions of citizens.
In response to PDP chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara’s remarks regarding the nation’s worsening economic situation, Ibrahim emphasized, “The APC as a ruling party is not intending to foist on the country anything that is going to injure democracy.”
He added that the APC is committed to being a progressive force, focused on delivering the benefits of democracy to all Nigerians.

Ibrahim urged the opposition to engage in constructive dialogue rather than destructive criticism, insisting that the PDP’s tenure had previously caused significant economic strain. “Nigerians are still watching and beginning to understand what change means,” he said.
The APC also addressed allegations of electoral fraud concerning the recent Edo State governorship election, dismissing such claims as unfounded and part of a broader narrative aimed at undermining the government.
The party reiterated its intention to foster a vibrant democracy, urging the opposition to abandon thoughts of policy reversal in favor of collaboration for the nation’s progress.
