Men of the Anambra State Police command have arrested a crime accomplice in the state.

The suspect is alleged to be specialized in lending guns and ammunitions to criminals.
The Anambra State Police force has arrested one Friday Emenike, popularly known as Ekpo, a 42-year-old who lends weapons to criminals.
According to reports the suspect has been the one supplying guns to criminals within Awka and its environs.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson of the state command who confirmed the arrest said the Anti-cultism unit of the police department raided a criminal hideout, where two suspected criminals were arrested in Umunaga Village, Awka South LGA,
The spokesperson identified the suspects as one Okechukwu Chinwuko ‘M’ 27 years from Umunaga Village and Ezenwa Chinedu ‘M’ 22 years from Umuneri Village and recovered one Pump action gun, three live cartridges, Cutlass, Criminal Charms, and substances suspected to be hard drugs.

Upon further interrogations, he added that the suspects confessed to the crime, while leading them to Ekpo, who they rent guns from.
He added that the case will be charged to Court on the conclusion of the investigations
