Police Arrest Motorcyclist For Raping Passenger In Oyo

  • The Oyo state police command have arrested a man for allegedly raping a woman in the state.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the man, who is said to be a motorcyclist was said to have molested his passenger.

Operatives of the Oyo state police command have arrested one, Kazeem, a motorcyclist, for allegedly raping his passenger.

According to reports, Kazeem was said to have raped the female passenger, claiming that she acted as if she needed him for the night when she asked for a place to stay.

Parading the suspect before newsmen, the police PRO, SP Adewale Osifeso added that the on October 17 around 10:15 p.m, the lady, who had arrived in the city from Lagos, was picked by the suspect at Olorunsogo area to be taken to her destination at Adeshina area.

The PRO said;

On their way, the suspect diverted to another route which the victim was not familiar with, and when she wanted to know where he was taking her to, he told her that he wanted to pick up something from his wife’s shop.

“The suspect ended up taking her to Ogbere area where his wife’s shop was located. She was forced inside where he had carnal knowledge of her without her consent,”

The PRO added that upon interrogations, the suspect admitted to having sexual intercourse with the lady, adding that she consented to it.

The medical report showed bruises around the victim’s priv@te part, while the police recovered a female underwear, a multi-color boxer, and a red pair of trousers as exhibits.

While speaking to journalists, kazeem said;

That night, I was on the expressway, waiting to pick passengers when the lady approached me and said that she just arrived Ibadan from Lagos, but didn’t know the place she was going. I asked her for the area and she told me. I asked her to come along. 

“As she sat on the bike, she told me that she was hungry. I gave her money to go and buy food. Thereafter, she told me to help her get a place where she could stay overnight because it was already late and she might not be able to get recognise the place she was going easily. 

“From there, I took her to my wife’s shop in Olorunsogo area and slept with her. 

“When my wife came after I was arrested, she could not say anything. She was just crying
