A group in All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Progressive Yes Forum (PYF), has given nod to re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
PYF, at an event in Ibadan, attended by two former deputy governors in Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun and Chief Moses Adeyemo, with some party leaders, said the step was to ensure the party retained power at the federal level and reclaimed its mandate from PDP in Oyo State.
Chairman, Comr. Wole Abisoye, said Tinubu deserved to be re-elected, considering his achievements in two years.

He urged members to allow the legacy of Chief Obafemi Awolowo guide them, noting Awolowo’s government founded welfarism, discipline and visionary planning.
APC Chair, Olaide Abass, assured the people they would be fair to everyone in 2027.
Conference Planning Committee Chair, Rasaq Olubodun, said the endorsement was overdue, adding APC will return to Aso Rock and Agodi, Ibadan.
Olubodun, who described the conference as aggregation of consultations across the state with respect to progressive governance in Oyo State, lamented that it had been a while the party had been out of power in the state due to internal crises
He said no party should rule in Southwest except a progressive party.
