President Bola Tinubu promises a hero’s welcome after the Super Falcons WAFCON triumph in Rabat, where they rallied for a 3–2 win over hosts Morocco to claim a record tenth Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title.

Even though Morocco led 2–0 at halftime, Ghizlane Chebbak (12′) and Sanaâ Mssoudy (24′) on target – Nigeria hit back after the break.

Esther Okoronkwo calmly converted a 64th-minute penalty, then Rasheedat Ajibade’s perfect free-kick set up Jennifer Echegini to slot home the winner.
In a live video call, Tinubu cheered their fightback:
“You lifted our spirits. To win a record tenth title is no small feat. You will be celebrated—safe journey home, enjoy yourselves, and avoid injuries.” – He also named Ajibade MVP and praised Okoronkwo’s cool head under pressure.
Ajibade spoke for the team, thanking Tinubu for approving full allowances and vowing to bring the trophy to Abuja.
