Here is why Bukayo Saka did not make the Arsenal team that played against Luton Town on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in the premier league.
Following initial concerns about Bukayo Saka's match fitness levels, the England international missing Arsenal's victory over Luton Town has created room for more questions rather than answers as to why he did not feature in the fixture which was played on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, if he was just fatigued in the game against Manchester City over the weekend.
Mikel Arteta in his pre-match press conference after the victory over Luton Town on Wednesday night opened up on the main reason Saka was not available for Arsenal in the fixture. Arteta revealed that Saka is fine but the team had not had a full training session yet which could possibly assess if he was injured or not.
He said, "He’s fine. We haven’t trained, just recovered. We have a short light session today to prepare the game and we’ll see if he’s in the best condition to start or not. He had to come off against Manchester City three days ago feeling something and he hasn't been able to do everything that we needed to give him the chance to start the game. So we have decided not to play him."
