Shehu Sani Provides Insight Into Challenge For Election Petitioners

Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has provided insight into what election petitioners will face when they approach the courts to seek redress.

Recall that most election winners in Nigeria in recent times, have always told their contenders to head to courts when they are not satisfied with declarations made by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC after elections.

Lending his view on this trend, Sani, in a short post on his X handle, informed those petitioners that when they go to court, they would be overwhelmed with loads of election material inspections.

He wrote in a mixture of correct English and pidgin, “Elections; when you go to court, and you get the permission to inspect election materials, you will be given one or two truckloads of ballot papers to search and find what you are looking for.

“After you open just two ‘Ghana must go bags’ of ballot paper, you go sweat tire.”
