he Sokebolou-Yokiri Amanimi Warenimi Festival is set to commence on Sunday, December 29, 2024. The event co-hosted by the twin communities will run for the remaining days of the year beginning from December 29. As announced by the Planning Committee in a publication invitation, the festival aims at fostering peace and unity among citizens of the communities. A long list of activities lined up for the Sokebolou-Yokiri Amanimi Warenimi Festival include Ogoi Ogele, Iyorou Ogele, traditional display, wrestling, thug of war, canoe race, football and lots more. The Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Elder Capt Joseph Timiyan will serve as Royal Father of the Day, while the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor will serve as Chairman of the Day. The three-day festival will feature musical performances led by the Paddle of Niger Delta, Chief Barrister Smooth, Chief Kingsley Takemebo, and Jking Alfred Ezonebi.
