Following the report, police officers were deployed to the scene, where they discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified adult male beneath a culvert slab housing armored cable wiring.

Preliminary findings suggest that the individual was electrocuted while trying to tamper with high-voltage armored cables, presumably in an act of vandalism. Authorities noted that the body, which showed signs of decomposition, was transported to Dutse General Hospital for further procedures.

Condemning the incident, SP Shiisu urged the public to refrain from engaging in such illegal and dangerous acts. “The Command strongly condemns the criminal act and warns members of the public against engaging in such hazardous and unlawful activities,” he stated.

He reaffirmed the Jigawa Police Command’s commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure and urged residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
