Tinubu Appoints Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Media, Public Communications | Daily Report Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, a former aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House).

This appointment, announced by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Bwala, who worked tirelessly for Atiku under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had previously been a prominent voice for the opposition.

However, following Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 election, Bwala transitioned into the ruling party’s fold.

Onanuga’s statement also revealed the appointments of three new Director-Generals in key federal agencies.

They include Olawale Olopade, who was appointed the Director-General of the National Sports Commission; Dr. Abisoye Fagade, who will now head the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism; and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator and former commissioner for youth and sports in Ogun State, brings extensive experience to the sports sector.

Dr. Fagade, a marketing communications professional and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, is expected to enhance the tourism and hospitality sector.

Meanwhile, Dr. Adedokun, a former director of Research and Strategic Planning at the Bureau of Public Procurement, is poised to continue strengthening public procurement processes.
