President Bola Tinubu arrived at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa this morning to kick off the 64th Independence Day Parade, emphasizing the theme “Reflecting on the Past; Inspiring the Future.”
The President, who served as the special guest of honor, inspected the Guard of Honour before addressing the nation.
The ceremony, attended by key political figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, marked Tinubu’s second Independence Day observance since taking office.
The event, significantly more subdued than in previous years, was moved back to the Villa as part of a low-key celebration due to ongoing economic challenges facing the country.
