APC Shows Confidence Amidst Opposition Merger | Daily Report Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to secure re-election in 2027, despite reports of opposition parties planning to merge against him.

According to Bala Ibrahim, a Director in the party’s Publicity Directorate, the APC remains unfazed by the coalition talks among opposition parties.

Ibrahim argued that the reforms currently being implemented by the Tinubu administration would yield tangible benefits for Nigerians before the 2027 polls.

“There is no doubt, there is pain in the land. But I think it is easy to also say most of these people who lost elections have anger, which is turning into hunger.

That is why they are complaining,” Ibrahim said. “However, it is not a pain that is going to last forever. It is the kind of pain you experience when you are undergoing changes.”

Ibrahim also stated that President Tinubu has won his first term, and if he decides to contest for a second term and the party gives him the go-ahead, he is confident that Tinubu will emerge the winner.

“This is because that will be the time when people will begin to reap the benefits of what has been put in place from his reforms,” he added.
