President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima are slated to spend a combined total of N9.36 billion on local and international trips, as well as refreshments in the 2025 budget.
This massive allocation is part of the N4.97 trillion appropriation bill presented by President Tinubu to the National Assembly on Wednesday.
According to the budget details, N7.44 billion is earmarked for the President’s travel and meals, with a substantial N6.14 billion set aside for international trips.
Local trips for the President will cost an additional N873.9 million. Refreshments, meals, and catering supplies are allocated N431.6 million.

In a similar vein, Vice President Shettima’s travel expenses are estimated at N1.9 billion, with N1.31 billion designated for international travel and N417.5 million for domestic trips. Furthermore, N186.02 million will be spent on his meals and catering.
