The family of Olatunji Disu, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been thrown into mourning following the devastating loss of his son in a horrific car accident on Monday.

Disu, who recently assumed leadership of the FCT Police Command, has been receiving an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and the general public.

In a show of solidarity, Disu had earlier paid a condolence visit to CSP A.A. Sambo, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ushafa Division, who also lost his son.

During the visit, CP Disu expressed heartfelt sympathies, saying, “I assure you and your family of the Command’s unwavering support during this difficult time.”

Wike Bans Used Items Markets, Scavenging In FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has banned used items markets, popularly known as ‘Panteka’, in the FCT for two weeks.

The ban, which takes effect from Tuesday, January 14, 2025, is aimed at addressing the rising cases of vandalism and economic sabotage in the territory.
