Chief Oyekunle Aremu Alex Duduyemi, is a distinguished elder statesman, businessman, and cultural leader in Nigeria whose life has exemplified exceptional grace. Chief Alex-Duduyemi is widely respected for his unwavering commitment to Nigeria, holding the esteemed titles of Asiwaju of Ile-Ife and Aro of the Source – two of the highest chieftaincy titles in Yorubaland. His influential roles within these traditional institutions have not only been vital in upholding and promoting Yoruba cultural heritage and values but have also forged a strong sense of community among the Yoruba people.
Born in 1935, his illustrious career spans several decades, during which he has made significant contributions to the advancement of the nation. He served as a member of the Federal House of Representatives during Nigeria’s Second Republic from 1964 to 1966 and held the role of Parliamentary Secretary at the Cabinet Office in Lagos.
