He highlighted the success of Operation Kukan Kura, a new initiative integrated into the Command’s broader security efforts, which he said has made significant progress in tackling crime in the state.

“These strategies included intelligence-led raids, visibility patrols, improved collaboration with other security agencies, strategic communication, and robust community policing engagements involving traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth groups, NGOs, CSOs, and the media,” Bakori explained.

He noted that the press briefing was intended to update the public on the recent breakthroughs and the operational measures being employed by the Command to combat insecurity.

A wide variety of items were recovered from the suspects, including dangerous weapons, stolen vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, mobile phones, hard drugs, and counterfeit currencies.

“Among the exhibits recovered were counterfeit US dollars, vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, and chemical substances,” the commissioner stated, thanking residents for their continued support.

He further encouraged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious movement to the nearest police station or through the emergency hotline: 08032419745.
