They reached this choice after finding their minutes cut under manager Ruben Amorim, who overhauled the squad when he arrived last November and dropped all five down the pecking order.

Trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the story on Friday via X:
> “BREAKING: Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho have all informed Manchester United they wish to leave.” “Man Utd have delayed their return date until later in July to allow them time to explore solutions further.”
Even so, Manchester United will keep their training facilities open to the group if they can’t secure new clubs in time.
Rashford, who spent the back half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, has since handed over his No. 10 shirt to new £62.5 million signing Matheus Cunha.
Sancho’s hoped-for switch to Chelsea fell apart over wage demands, forcing the Blues to pay a £5 million penalty instead of the agreed £25 million fee.
Garnacho, visibly frustrated when he was benched in the European Cup final against Tottenham, was urged by Amorim to look for another team.
Antony, who found his calling again at Real Betis, may return on a roughly £30 million loan with a buyout clause.
Malacia’s season at PSV Eindhoven was cut short by injuries, and the Dutch club ultimately decided against converting his loan into an £8.3 million permanent transfer.
