A Danfo commercial vehicle with multiple passengers crashed on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on Wednesday.
Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, the Lagos Territorial Coordinator of NEMA, confirmed the incident and stated that the crash resulted in two adult passengers being thrown into the Lagos lagoon.
The Marine Police are currently searching for the male and female passengers who fell off the bus.
The accident involved a bus with the registration number FKJ 872 YA near the Adeniyi Adele axis on the way to Lagos Island.
The driver, who was speeding, lost control and collided with the bridge rails, causing the two passengers to be forcefully ejected into the lagoon.
“The victims, an adult male and female, are being searched by the Marine Police.
“The injured have been evacuated to a nearby hospital,” Farinloye added.
