
The police in Kogi State have confirmed the death of a 47-year-old Chinese national, Mr. Luo Zhi Mao, who worked as a supervisor at BN Ceramics in Ajaokuta.
According to reports, Mr. Luo collapsed while working in the Press Department of the factory on Saturday, August 2, at around 6:30 p.m.

“He was quickly taken to Covenant Hospital in Ajaokuta and then referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Lokoja.
“But because doctors and nurses at FMC were on strike, he was moved to Shifaah Hospital, also in Lokoja,” revealed Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, on X on Thursday.
Tragically, Mr. Luo passed away three days later, on Tuesday, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at Shifaah Hospital.
His body has been taken to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have stated that no foul play is suspected at this time, though investigations are ongoing.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibadan Zonal Directorate has arrested 55 individuals suspected of internet fraud during an operation in Ogun State.
The arrests took place on Wednesday, July 6, 2025, at K Hotel in the Itori area of Ewekoro Local Government, following credible intelligence linking the suspects to online criminal activities.
