The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Benue local government election, claiming all 23 chairmanship and 276 councillorship positions.
The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) announced the results, confirming the APC’s sweep.
SIEC Chairman Richard Tombowua declared the APC the winner, stating that the election was “free and fair” and that all results had been submitted from the field.
The Labour Party has commended the commission for its commitment to a hitch-free election and promised to review the outcome. The APC’s victory marks a significant win for the party in Benue State.
