Police Arrest Stepmother For Torturing Minor Step-Children In Adamawa | Daily Report Nigeria

  • Operatives of the Adamawa state police command have apprehended a woman for allegedly torturing her step children.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the woman, Fatima Abubakar, 37 physically assaulted her step children for messing up their rooms.

A woman has been taken into custody of the police in Adamawa state for the alleged torture of a 2-year-old girl and a little boy.

It was gathered that Fatima reportedly tortured the children for urinating and dedicating in their room.

Fatima, who was said to have been married to the children’s father and had not delivered a child of her own was arrested for the assault, and had confessed to the crime following her arrest on Saturday, October 5.

Neighbors, who served as eyewitness said Fatima had warned them not to interfere in her affairs.

Confirming the arrest, the police PRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, whike speaking with newsmen said the suspect was arrested following tip-off from concerned community members.

He added that the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, had ordered that the accused be charged to court for prosecution
