Munir Balogun, father of Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayodeji Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has opened up about the ongoing rift between his son and fellow musician, Davido.
In his remarks, Balogun shared that he has counseled Wizkid to disregard provocations from Davido’s fan base, advising him to stay focused and avoid unnecessary distractions.
During an interview with Punch Newspapers, Balogun said, “I told my son that he shouldn’t look or listen to whatever the boys who are supporters of Davido are saying. The supporters are only looking for what they will say to collect money and all of that.”
He went on to explain that fans often create drama to gain attention and benefit from the situation, encouraging Wizkid to rise above the noise.
